I have been working within publishing for more than 20 years. In the UK I worked for market leading magazines such as Bella and Prima Magazines. I also wrote for a number of contract magazines, business titles and part-works.
As a freelancer I have written on a wide variety of topics. Lifestyle features to product reviews, style guides to travel guides, I have written them all. I was also fortunate enough to work at London 2012 as part of the Central Editorial Team – I even got to interview a few athletes.
In 2014, along with my family, I moved to Singapore where my writing took on a more global feel.
In 2016 I was asked to join a new business magazine as Managing Editor for 6 months to help the magazine establish a lifestyle section. During that time I was totally responsible for commissioning, editing, writing and design of the lifestyle pages and training staff in magazine editorial.
I have had work published in luxury property magazine, Palace – with features about the Spanish and Thai property market. Other work included helping some very talented artists, working with them to produce copy for websites and promotional material. As well as all that my travels have led to some amazing experiences that I have written about both on my blog and for other sites.
My blog Five Go Mad In Singers built a steady stream of followers and many of my posts were featured on a number of other blogs.
In 2017 I published my first book A Positive Result. A memoir based on my experience of having a child with special needs.
We moved back to the UK in 2018 and since then I have been busy working on a huge renovation project. This has led to my love of interiors being reignited and I completed an online Interior Design Diploma to give my writing a more professional edge. I am also working with small local businesses assisting with content for websites, blogs and social media.
